Procedure:

  • Materials:
    • Basketball court or gymnasium
    • Basketball hoops
    • Basketballs
    • Cones or markers
    • Monitors or screen.
    • Laptop
    • Whistle
  • Preliminary Activities (5 Minutes) that includes Prayer, Greetings, Checking the attendance, and Review from the last meeting lesson.
  • Motivation (10 Minutes) engaging students by discussing the excitement and challenges of playing basketball, also demonstrating a skillful plays and teamwork that related to basketball.
  • Lesson Proper (20 Minutes) 
    • Skill Instruction:
      • Demonstrate proper techniques for dribbling, passing, and shooting.
      • Break down each skill into component parts and provide guided practice opportunities for students to master the fundamentals.
  • Generalization (5 Minutes) lead a brief discussion on the key concepts and skills covered in the lesson, and reflect the students with application of the skills and strategies.
  • Application (10 Minutes)
    • Divide the students into small groups and assign them specific tasks or scenarios to apply the skills and concepts learned.
    • Rotating the groups through different stations focusing on dribbling, passing, and shooting.
    • Encourage students to communicate and collaborate with their teammates to achieve common goals.
  • Evaluation (10 Minutes) assess the students performance and understanding throughout the lesson through observation and feedback.
Time Management and Organizing Activities:
  • Allocate specific time slots for each segment of the lesson plan to ensure efficient use of class time.
  • Use visual timers or cues to help students transition between activities smoothly.
  • Preparing equipment and materials in advance.
  • Break larger groups into smaller groups.
  • Provide clear instructions and expectations for each activity.
Classroom Management:

  • Establish clear rules and expectations for behavior at the beginning of the lesson.
  • Use positive reinforcement and praise to acknowledge students' efforts and accomplishments.
  • Address disruptive behavior promptly and consistently, employing strategies such as redirection, proximity control, and individual conferences if necessary.
  • Encourage teamwork and cooperation by assigning roles and responsibilities within groups.
  • Model respectful communication and sportsmanship, and encourage students to resolve conflicts peacefully.
Problem-Solving:
  • Anticipate potential challenges or obstacles that may arise during the lesson, such as equipment malfunction or inclement weather, and have contingency plans in place.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and activities as needed to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Encourage students to problem-solve and think critically by presenting them with challenges or game scenarios that require creative solutions.
  • Stay within the designated school boundaries and adhere to school policies and procedures at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
